Aside from being trained up to Divemaster, you will receive hands on experience with compressor operations, kit maintenance, leading dives, safety procedures, front office and customer liaison, boat management and professional procedures (including attitude, insurance, sales and CV writing).

The traineeship is more spread out than traditional Divemaster internships. Additional time (around 6 weeks) is incorporated to focus on Divemaster work experience and a more relaxed approach to learning ensures you have time to absorb what you learn.

Many of these skills are only available on our traineeship in Dahab.

DiverThe traineeship also includes a number of key elements which you might not get on other internships. First of all you get get unlimited diving! If you want to go out front and practice some skills or go for a dive then we don't have a problem with it - get wet! You’re there for the diving and we want you to get the most out of the experience! A PADI Nitrox course ensures you are trained to dive enriched air (more oxygen). Excursions (on camel safaris, Thistlegorm wreck safaris, boat diving etc) can also be added-on to broaden your knowledge of varied dive locations whilst our custom-built work experience module and practical work experience (guiding dives, assisting instructors etc) ensures that you spend nearly 6 weeks of your trip experiencing and practicing professional skills.
