Sample Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival (Sunday)
Welcome to Egypt and the start of your trip! Arrive Sharm el Sheikh and transfer to Dahab (1 hour). Drop-off at accommodation and dive centre. Dinner
Day 2: Welcome and Start Open Water Course (Monday)
You should aim to be at the dive centre by 8:45. You can have some breakfast down there. You will meet with Anne who will give you a guided tour around Dahab so you know where the shops, banks and bars are located. It's then back to dive centre for tea and coffee to meet with your instructor. You will then start your Open Water Course (videos, theory and confined water session).
Day 3: Open Water Course (Tuesday)
Meet with instructor at agreed time (normally 9am). Continue with Open Water Course. Today you will watch some more videos and complete your confined water training.
Day 4: Open Water Course (Wednesday)
Meet with instructor at agreed time (normally 9am). Continue with Open Water Course. Today you will complete your theory tests and do two open water dives.
Day 5: Complete Open Water Course (Thursday)
Meet with instructor at agreed time (normally 9am). Continue with Open Water Course. Today you will complete your Open water course. You will do your final open water dives before sitting your exam in the afternoon / evening. Congratulations - you are now a certified diver to 18m!
Day 6: Free day (Friday)
Break in between Open Water and Advanced Open Water Course. Feel free to relax and enjoy some sunshine or chill out by the pool. In the afternoon you will go quad biking in the desert.
Day 7: Start Advanced Open Water Course (Saturday)
Meet with instructor at agreed time (normally 9am). Today you will start the Advanced Open Water course. The course starts with some basic theory and vidoes before you go out and do two of the five adventure dives (deep and navigation dives are compulsory dives). In the evening you will probably have to review the tests.
Day 8: Continue Advanced Open Water course (Sunday)
Meet with instructor at agreed time (normally 9am). Today you will do two more adventure dives. If there is a dive going out, you will also do a night dive which will complete your Advanced Open Water training. Sit exam in the evening and you'll be a certified diver to 30m by the end of the day!
Day 9: Free day and Mt Sinai trip (Monday)
Break to relax. You will leave at about 11pm to go to Mt Sinai. it takes about 1.5 hours to get there and then you start the climb to the top (with a guide). You get to the top at around 4am where you sleep for a bit until you watch the sunrise - which is abcolutely fantastic! It's then down the mountain and into St Catherine's Monastery before heading back to Dahab. You get back at around 11am when most people get some rest!
Day 10: Free day and Mt Sinai trip (Tuesday)
Morining (coming back from Mt Sinai trip). Afternoon resting. For those that didn't do the night dive as part of their Advanced Open Water course they will do this tonight.
Day 11: Camel Safari (Wednseday)
Today you get up and leave at around 6:30 am to start the camel safari. you will join the camels at the Blue Hole and make your way by camel to Ras Abu Gallum. The diving here is exquisite. You do one dive in the morining and another dive in the afternoon. It's then back on the camels and back to Dahab.
Day 12: Recreational Diving (Thursday)
Today you will do two dives. Meeting your guide at around 9am you will go North to dive 'The Canyon' and 'Bells' at the Blue Hole. These are perhaps the most reknowned dive sites in Dahab. Enjoy!!
Day 13: Recreational Diving (Friday)
Today you will do two more dives. Meeting your guide at around 9am you will go South and dive somewhere like 'Moray Gardens' and 'Three Pools'. These are fantastic dive sites - look out for rays, octopus and
Day 14: Recreational Diving (Saturday)
Today you will do two more dives. Meeting your guide at around 9am you will probably do 'Eel Gardens' or 'The Islands' before returning to the dive centre for lunch. After lunch, at around 1pm, you will do one more dive in the Mashraba Bay area. It's then back to the dive centre to pack up your kit. Please note that the last dive is scheduled for c.1pm so that there is at least 24hours when you are out of the water before flying tomorrow.
Day 15: Last day (Sunday)
Time to relax in the morning and the rest of the day. Chill out by the beach and do that last minute shopping. Your taxi will take you to the airport in the afternoon for your return flight back home.

Extra Information
Requirements
We recommend that you can swim at least 100 metres. Certain skills are also involved in the training such as mask removal and regulator removal. If you think that you will find these skills difficult, please contact us and we can arrange a 'discover scuba' course at your local dive centre before you start the programme.
