This programme is for Open Water Divers / Advanced Open Water Divers who wish to train to become an instructor.
The programme starts with a the PADI Advanced Open Water Course. This exciting programme is an extension to the Open Water Course and broadens your knowledge of diving techniques. It includes a total of five adventure dives (you must include deep and navigation dive) and on completion you'll be qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 30m.
You then carry out the PADI EFR and Rescue Diver Courses. These courses develop your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and render first aid. The courses are an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver. The courses are fun and rewarding and get you prepared for the Divemaster programme.
On around the third week, you do the PADI Enriched Air Diver course - the most popular speciality course available. The main advantages of Nitrox diving are increased bottom times (time spent at maximum depth), especially in the 20 to 30 metre range, and reduced levels of nitrogen in your system (ideal if you plan on multiple daily dives).
The middle part of the programme is the Divemaster course. This is operated as an internship that runs for 4 weeks. It is possible to do the Divemaster course in as little as 12 days, however, you really do miss out on so much in-water diving experience. With the internship, you'll have unlimited diving and you will easily get to dive about 50-60 times during these four weeks - the more experience you get the better! During the course you learn a lot about dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. There are a wide range of water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organise and solve problems. The course is fun but there is quite a lot to learn as well....so be prepared for some learning!
The instructor part of the programme offers you a professional learning experience in which you will learn how to teach diving, utilising the most successful programme in existence – the PADI system of diver education. Not only will you learn how to teach in the classroom, pool and open water environments, you will also learn how to effectively use PADI’s teaching aids and instructional support material.
Dedicated learning time...
The whole part of the Instructor training lasts about 3 weeks. There are about two weeks deliberately scheduled as "free" after the DM course so that you can prepare yourself for the Instructor courses. You will be given an IDC information pack detailing things you should review during this time.
Post Instructor Training
We have a two week period built-in after the IDC for you to teach an Open Water and Advanced Open Water Course under the supervision of an instructor. This is a great opportunity for you to practice your new skills without being 'chucked in at the deep end'.
Jobs...
We can help with jobs in Dahab and Sharm el Sheikh after the programme.
Success...
We have a 100% success rate on the IDC. The course is taught by one of 90 Platinum Status PADI Course Directors and every customer has found instructor work after the training.
You will be highly employable and in demand!!
