If you’ve always wanted to try scuba diving – then jump in! Here’s your chance to learn-to-dive and breathe underwater in a fun & safe environment. Dahab is the perfect place for beginners to learn to dive and it offers some fabulous dive sites that are very accessible. Some of the best reefs in Dahab are just 20 metres from the dive centre. A quick walk to the shore and then you’re diving in a giant tropical fish tank!

This programme provides orientation as well as learning to dive courses in Sydney / Byron Bay. It is designed for people who are new to diving and require a gentle introduction to life down under! The programme includes a PADI Open Water course, PADI Advanced Open Water course and recreational diving so you have the necessary qualifications to dive anywhere in the world to 30m during your travels.

The Gili Islands are the second largest Biorock® site in the world and are currently home to 37 Biorock® structures. The reef restoration project is coordinated by the Gili Eco Trust which works closely with the DKP (Indonesian Marine Conservation and fisheries) and is part of the Coral Triangle Project. The aim is to extend these projects so that the Gili Islands become a global centre for coral research and re-growth.

Based on Roatan Island (the largest of the Bay Islands), the programme focuses on learning to dive through a range of PADI courses whilst assisting with educational projects, water sampling, beach clean-ups, patrols and the maintenance of mooring buoys for the Roatan Marine Park.

This programme is totally unique and combines PADI diver training courses with recreational diving in Mochima National Park and adventure tours through Venezuela. Over 11 weeks your are based at a remote Venezuelan beach location called 'Playa Colorada'. From there you venture off as a group kayaking down the Orinoco Delta, living with Waroe Indian tribes and hiking Roraima. The trip is action-packed and would suit anyone looking for a REAL adventure!!

This programme incorporates the PADI National Geographic and PADI Advanced Open water courses as well as wreck diving and recreational diving. The trip lasts 18 days and starts in Dahab where you do your diver training. The tour group then moves down to Hurghada where we join the Red Sea Liveaboard for a week of wreck diving. This trip always fills up quickly so be sure to confirm your place if you're interested! Next departure July 2010 - ideal for Summer getaway.

These trips are great for individuals who wish to improve their Spanish for work or University studies. Here in Costa Rica you have 20 hours Spanish lessons whilst you learn to dive. Adventure tours such as whitewater rafting, canopy tours and surf lessons can also be done at the weekends. The trips areaction-packed with learning and adventure!

This programme allows you to add-on entry level diving courses. If you're a beginner or an Open water diver you learn diving skills whilst getting involved with marine conservation.

The conservation work involves nderwater marine surveys charting the coral with the use of GPS, identifying fish and marine movements, and locating where the breeding and feeding grounds are located.

Working in partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society, you will be surveying the reefs surrounding this remote South Pacific island in order to create a UNESCO Seascape multi-use reserve. Diver training is available for those that require it and survey dives are carried out around twice per day. When you're not diving you can explore the island, venture off to the local village, swim, sunbathe and simply enjoy being at this lovely, remote beachside location!

Divers get involved with work such as lobster, conch, fish, coral reef and invertebrate surveys. The project work for 2010 currently includes working on Whale Sharks, spawning fish aggregations (which attract the whale sharks), lobster and conch surveys, indicator fish surveys, water quality assessment, plankton study, habitat study, social-economic impact on the reef, pollution assessment, nursery habitats, turtle monitoring and sea grass studies. By increasing awareness and involvement, this project hopes to decrease our impacts on coral reefs and provide solutions to protecting and restoring the reefs around Koh Tao. A number of different eco projects are currently underway including: building and maintaining a coral nursery (bio-rock); beach clean ups; land development (tree planting, land cleaning etc); an educational programme with the local school as well as newsletter and website development. The projects vary by season and depending on the needs and resources at the time.

Discover a different side to diving, working alongside professional videographers. Learn how to film dive students and marine life, and then edit the film into short 'dive movies'.

The videographer course is completed over 6 weeks and includes shadowing a professional videographer, coaching on dive skills such as buoyancy, making underwater videos (alongside an experienced videographer), editing videos AND a range of learn-to-dive courses.

This course covers the aspects of marine research data collection and surveying techniques vital to becoming a competent marine sciences volunteer. It increases your environmental awareness while promoting organisational skills, problem solving abilities, self confidence, and the social and technical skills needed to allow a student to work as part of a Marine scientific research team.
