Requirements

Swimming
We recommend that you can swim at least 400 metres as this skill forms part of the Divemaster Course.

Certificate and logged dives
You also need to have a valid PADI Open Water certificate to start the course and ideally have around 10-16 dives recorded in your log book.

Skills
Certain skills are also involved in the training such as mask removal and regulator removal. If you think that you will find these skills difficult, please contact us and we can arrange a 'discover scuba' course at your local dive centre before you start the programme (additional cost).

Theory
There are videos and manuals to study as part of the diving programme - please be prepared to study a little.

Divemaster Internship
You must be willing to work as well. The Divemaster course is an internship. You will be expected to turn up to the dive centre each day for work and help around the dive centre. The work is varied, but you must be willing to help with filling tanks, assisting with customers, supervising instructors, working behind the counter, guiding dives and learning about equipment maintanence and the compressor.

Medical and Diving health
Please see the medical link for more information
