


Flights to Egypt are frequent and often cheap! Depending on where you live in the UK, flights from Newcastle, Birmingham, Glasgow, London Gatwick, Exeter, Bristol and Manchester operate at different times of the year and will get you to Egypt.
Flight route options
There are loads of different ways to get to Sharm el Sheikh (arrival airport). The most common way is to fly direct. Alternative routes might be via Cairo, Eastern Europe or through the continent. Below are some suggestions of how to get to Sharm el Sheikh:
London Gatwick
EasyJet direct flight on Tuesday, (Thursday) and Saturday to Sharm el Sheikh
EasyJet direct flight on Weds, Friday and Sunday to Hurghada. Overnight in Hurghada and then take the ferry for about US$30 to Sharm el sheikh. We arrange transfer by land to Dahab from there.
London Heathrow
BA/Egypt Air direct flight most days of the week from LHR to Cairo. You will most likely have to stay overnight in Cairo before taking a short 55min flight to Sharm el Sheikh (overnight bus is available also for about US$15).
Manchester
Thomson Fly, XL, EasyJet, BA, Astreus all operate direct flights to Sharm el Sheikh most days of the week.
Newcastle
XL operate a flight once or twice a week direct to Sharm el Sheikh
Glasgow , Birmingham, Exeter and Bristol
Charter flights such as Astreus operate direct flights at different times of the year

Obtaining flights
Getting the cheapest deal is not always easy. You could look at the BA site one day and find a return flight for £390 – the next day it might only be £310. Below is a list of websites that we recommend for obtaining flights. We strongly recommend that you book early to get the best price

Flights to Venezuela are relatively frequent and can sometime be very cheap! You generally have a choice of how you get there:
1. Fly into Caracas International Airport and take a connecting flight to Barcelona Airport from there. If you have to stay overnight in Caracas we can arrange that for you.
2. Fly into Miami and then take a connecting flight from there direct to Barcelona Airport.
We strongly recommend that you book early to get the best prices.

Flight prices internally in Venezuela are typically about US$75 each way

You can fly with BA or AA to Miami and then take a connecting flight direct to Barcelona (BLA) Airport from Miami.
The cost of the flight is approximately £150 each way. Flights operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Timings are as follows:
Miami (MIA) to Barcelona (BLA)
Departs 14:15 and arrives 18:00
Barcelona (BLA) to Miami (MIA)
Departs 09:00 and arrives 12:45

Flights to Costa Rica are relatively frequent! Unfortunately, due to the coastal location of Quepos, you will either have to take a connecting flight to get to your final destination. We recommend that you do the following:
1. Get a flight into San Jose International Airport.
2. Book a connecting flight for the same day (if available) to Quepos.
3. If you have to stay overnight in San Jose because there are no connecting flights, we can arrange accommodation for you.

The national airline, Air Pacific (FJ) (website: www.airpacific.com), flies from Los Angeles, Sydney and Auckland. There are no direct flights from the UK; Air New Zealand flies from London to Nadi via Los Angeles.
Approximate Flight Times
From London to Nadi is 27 hours 45 minutes (plus connection/stopover time). From Los Angeles to Nadi is 11 hours 40 minutes.

The best way to get to Andros Island is to take an International flight to Nassau and then to take a connecting flight to Andros Island (20 minutes).
